DESTROY DINOSAURS, KILLER INSECTS AND ENEMY SOLDIERS TO STAY ALIVE IN LATEST SCI-FI FIRST PERSON SHOOTER FOR PC
Turok, a Sci-Fi First Person Shooter (FPS) game for PC, is being released by Avanquest Software Publishing in June 2008. The player takes on the role of Joseph Turok, a former black ops commando, now part of an elite Special Forces squad known as Whiskey Company.
Having been stranded on a hostile and sinister planet whilst searching for a renegade army, Turok must find fellow human survivors using his elite military training, in order to survive the threatening environment that surrounds him. Guide Turok through his gruelling mission, encountering brutal dinosaurs, giant insects and heavily armed enemy soldiers along the way.
Consider your combat options carefully. Either choose to obliterate enemies with massive firepower or utilise ‘quiet kill’ techniques with specific weapons like the bow or knife to remain undetected. Realistic A.I. means enemy soldiers respond dynamically to Turok’s movements and dinosaurs react in a volatile predatory manner.
If caught by a dinosaur, grapple and maul with the creature to pull yourself free from their jaws and avoid being eaten. Be aware that not all dinosaurs are deadly - some unpredictable ones can be turned into allies and used to your advantage, as you lure them into attacking other enemy creatures and humans.
Turok’s mission is to take down escaped war criminal Roland Kane, once his mentor, who now roams the inhospitable planet with his army. The deep plot of the game is conveyed through cut scenes and flashbacks, giving the dark, gritty sci-fi world a cinematic feel. Combined with realistic graphics and intense dynamic surround sound, the uninhabitable planet quickly comes to life.
The multiplayer option allows you to engage in online multiplayer matches with up to 16 players. Multiplayer modes feature Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Capture The Flag, Assault Capture The Flag, War Games, and Co-Op.

Runes of Magic – a world full of wizardry and adventure
In Runes of Magic players explore and discover a magical realm full of wonders and ancient riddles. On their way from simple novice to famous hero, they will always be accompanied by magical runes and potent oracles which are fragments of the divine book Taborea. In Runes of Magic players should use the rune stone wisely, for they might also lure them to a path of destruction. But legend has it, that he, who embraces the oracle and acquires its might, will gain absolute power over the future. It is now up to the player, to write on the history of the world.
To do that, players have access to a dual class system which allows them to freely combine their main and secondary classes, in order to freely build a character the way they want. On their way through Taborea, they learn professions and special skills to forge mighty armor and weaponry or to enhance them. After a hard day of labor players can relax in their own homes, which they can arrange any way they want. In addition they have access to a dynamic item and rune system, as well as three gathering and eight crafting professions. Dangerous dungeons, raids and an extensive PVP system challenge PC heros in the long run.
The Taiwanese developers of Runewaker Entertainment Ltd. grew up in the USA and were enthusiastic “Ultima Online” and “World of Warcraft” players. Cyborg Rumble Pad
The PC gamepad has evolved – take your gaming to new heights with the most
adjustable gamepad in the world!
For a long time, there has been a discussion amongst gamers about which position
is best for the left analogue stick on a gamepad. Some prefer the left stick to be level
with the right stick, whereas others prefer it offset to the top left corner of the pad.
With the Cyborg Rumble Pad, you now have the choice of either position with the revolutionary Cyborg module (Pat. Pending). At the press of a button, you can remove the Cyborg module from the pad and turn it through 180º, instantly changing the configuration of the left stick and d-pad.
The features don’t stop there though; you can also program any button on the pad to become a Precision button. Once programmed, pressing this button can affect the sensitivity of either of the analogue sticks. Having trouble hitting targets through your sniper rifle when using the analogue stick to aim? Hold the Precision button down and the response speed of the stick is reduced, making it much easier to
draw a bead on your target.
The Cyborg Rumble Pad also features Saitek’s unique FPS button. We realise that many gamers (especially those used to playing on consoles) like to use their gamepads to control first person shooter games, but the majority of these games on PC do not support gamepads. To make the gamepad work in the game you need to program it using the supplied programming software. Whilst this option is still available to you, you can take all the effort out of this by pressing the FPS button on the pad. This instantly programs the pad with the keyboard and mouse commands typically used in these games, meaning you can start playing your games
even quicker.
This isn’t limited just to FPS games. Instead of being forced to use your keyboard and mouse for certain games, you can use the Saitek Smart Technology software to program any part of the pad with any keyboard or mouse command. This allows you to use the pad in any game, even those that don’t support game controllers!
Finally, the Cyborg Rumble Pad also features a driver option called X-Mode.
Increasingly, PC games are shipping with support for Microsoft’s Xbox 360
gamepad and switching the Cyborg Rumble Pad into X-Mode configures it to
work in the same way, meaning that you should have no problems with
